The Tesla Tool is a purpose-built long reach tool engineered specifically for efficiently opening Tesla vehicles. Unlike traditional vehicles, Tesla models utilize thin laminated glass on the front windows instead of standard tempered glass, making proper tool control and protection critical. When used in combination with Wonder Shields, the tool is safely guided between the glass and door frame, minimizing the risk of contact and preventing damage.
This tool is especially valuable in no-power situations, where Tesla’s electronic locking system becomes inoperative. It is designed to effectively manipulate the Manual Door Release Lever located in front of the window switches, an access point that is notoriously difficult to reach with conventional long reach tools due to its shape, angle, and the tight clearance of frameless windows.
